Fourth Irish Generation. In this generation the Richard Massy Jr. line of Yeilding's, through the Blennerhassett's, becomes part of a direct descendency from King Henry 1 of England, William the Conqueror (his father), and Charlemagne. Junior's mother, Frances Eagar was daughter of Sarah Blennerhassett, thus the direct Blennerhassett connection. His mother Frances is also the grandniece of Francis Agar (1751-1799) who immigrated to New York, but later returned to Ireland to die. While in New York he had a son, Thomas (1792-1841), who stayed in America. Thomas' son, John (1823-64), joined the Mormon Church, and trekked out to Utah with John Smith and Brigham Young. John's son, John Thomas (1851-1942), founded the town of Eagar, Arizona (in the White Mountains near Snow Flake, AZ.) Notes: I am directly descended from those shown in bold print. |
