- Many of the photos, stories, or
facts presented in this site have been plucked from other wonderful
sites that I have been lucky enough to stumble upon and which
others have been kind enough to provide. I want to express
my unending gratitude for their priceless contribution to the
knowledge and understanding of our family roots contained
herein. Throughout this site I will endeavor to post credit
where possible ( I have frequently been negligent in noting where information
came from as I scribbled it down) and will provide links to
those sites as I am able to. Unfortunately, I have discovered
that some of the sites have disappeared over the years or, as
with the Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa, no longer provide the
data base access that they once did.
- One site that is particularly
rich in our family history is," Dr. Mark Humphry's Family
History site: http://www.compapp.dcu.ie/~humphrys/index.html
Here you can trace our roots back to royalty. We
won't get too snooty about this because as Dr. Humphry says,
"Quite likely the entire population of the West descends from Charlemagne."
- Bill Jehan, U.K., writer of the definitive
family history of the Blennerhassett, Egar, and other interconnected
surnames: Supplier of countless details and corrections on
our connections to the Blennerhassett and Eagar families.
